Convenience

So I met my friend who just had a baby and she and I were talking about how inconvenient hospitals can be sometimes. All the time it seems people are walking in and out of the door to check vitals, ask questions and its hardly a conducive place for recovering.

Also since one of my friends works in the hospital, she was telling me that it is a rule for every doctor to come and see you once per every 24 hours. Wow, I didnt know that being my first time in the hospital

That reminded me one incident that I needed to share. It was POD#4 2.30 in the night and I was sleeping and so was Bharat on the recliner. The nurse use to come in every 2 hours adjust my heparin drip , antibiotic drip and leave without trying to wake me up. Then suddenly lights went up in my room. I hear someone call my name and I opened my eyes and see Dr Bajaj. My first instinct and question was Am I bleeding? To which Vimi Bajaj replies, no you are not but I had a delivery and so I came to hospital and so instead of having to come back tomorrow to hospital to check you, I thought I'll see you now. Wow, how convenient for the doctor and as for me, well does it really matters??
